The Village of Port Sanilac and Sanilac District Library created a partnership to increase awareness and usage of the Bark Shanty Community Center and to provide extra library services.  

The Bark Shanty Library Branch gives SDL the opportunity to offer programs and services which space constraints prohibited in the past.   Traditional library services will not be duplicated at the Bark Shanty Library Branch.

Children’s Programs:  Thursday is Kid's Day:  Baby Time (meets all year), Toddler Time (meets all year), Summer Story Time, Summer STREAM Club (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art & Music) and Summer LEGO© Club. 

Adult Programs:  arts & crafts, cooking, gardening, history, music and more! 

The Bark Shanty Library Branch is the fourth location managed by SDL: the main facility at 7130 Main Street in Port Sanilac plus the Carsonville-Port Sanilac Elementary & High School Libraries. Sanilac District Library is Growing To Meet Your Needs.
